Policies

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility.

Everyone who meets children, their families and carers have a role to play in safeguarding children.

If you have any concerns about the health, safety, wellbeing of a child at the school, or feel that something may be troubling them, you should share this information with one of our Safeguarding Team above.

This may be done verbally in the first instance but always be followed up by completing a cause for concern form, available from the Designated Safeguarding Team above.

In the unlikely event of the Designated Safeguarding Officers not being available the matter should be reported directly to the Local Authority Early Help and Safeguarding Hub 01609 534852 or Police/ Family Protection Unit.

Out of school hours and during school holidays:

If you believe the situation is urgent but does not require the police, please call 0300 131 2 131 to make a telephone contact.

Should your call be outside of business hours (Monday – Friday / 9am-5pm) please still call 0300 131 2 131 to speak to the Emergency Duty Team.

How to stay safe online

Online Safety Advice for Parents:
The internet is a great resource with many very helpful tools that aid our children with their learning. Our school prepares its pupils for the 21st Century by providing good opportunities for online learning and research. It is essential, however, that we ensure that our children are always safe when using the world wide web.
